Kue Selingkuh

When we hear the word "cheating" in the minds of some of us, we will associate it with dishonest human relationships. But if you add "cake" to the word, it has a different meaning in the Thousand Islands, which is a meal of rice wrapped in banana leaves.

The name is said to have originated when women gave their husbands rice wrapped in two banana leaves for seafaring, faced each other and chilled together. Because fishing grounds extend far to other islands and last for several days, this form of food retention has become a symbol of fishermen staying attached to their wives even when they are apart. And never look at other women, that means betrayal. Later this dish was called Cheat Cake.

Beyond the name, it's clear that cheesecakes are products that are still made by the people of the Thousand Islands. The ingredients consist of rice, coconut milk, chopped or chopped fish and some spices. These ingredients are mixed in this way and then wrapped in banana leaves and steamed. Delicious cheesecakes are usually eaten with hot tea in the morning or in the evening.
